This troupe celebrates good family values and promotes cultural diversity by integrating their experiences as Americans of African descent. Part of their theme centers on the Underground Railroad and, through poetry, stories and song and percussion instruments, they reveal coded messages used by African Americans on the trail to freedom. Nzinga's Daughters have been presenters at H.O.T. Schools programs for the Connecticut Commission on the Arts. They have performed at many churches, schools, museums, libraries and universities in Connecticut, Massachusetts and Pennsylvania.
